Worldline is a global payments business, helping organisations handle transactions smoothly, and at scale. Its Wolverhampton office is home to a busy contact and credit centre, where 80 employees spend their days supporting customers.

Where we started

After successful projects in Beeston and Darlington, Worldline came back to Blueprint for the next step in our shared workplace journey. This was our fourth space together, so the brief was clear: keep the familiar Worldline quality, but shape it around the people and pace of Wolverhampton.

Worldline already had a strong workplace identity across its UK offices. Wolverhampton needed to feel part of that family, while solving specific challenges for a team doing high-focus, high-energy work.

The existing office was bright, busy and not always easy to switch off from. The teams needed calming spaces, better acoustic support and clearer zones to help people move through their days.

Through regular site meetings, design reviews and open conversations, we worked with the Worldline team to understand what their people needed most.

Where we focused

Worldline needed a workplace that could support concentration without feeling cold or corporate. A space where people could stay focused through busy call periods, then properly step away, recharge and reconnect. Wellbeing played a big part in the brief. For a team handling constant customer conversations, quiet moments matter. The design needed to make room for breaks away from the desk. Technology also had to work harder. Meeting rooms needed to support easier collaboration, whether people were in the room or joining remotely. And wherever possible, existing materials and equipment needed to be reused, helping reduce waste without compromising the finished space.

What changed

The team now has a brighter, calmer office designed around how they actually work.

A softer palette, improved acoustics, planting and tactile finishes bring warmth and focus to the space. Clearer zoning gives the Contact and Credit Centre teams room to work well, while keeping the office open and connected.

A new Hideout Room gives people somewhere quiet to pause. The kitchen and breakout area, with a large island, shared benches and a pool table, has quickly become the place to catch up away from the desk.

The new boardroom is now the largest in Worldline’s UK portfolio, with interactive screens and wireless connectivity. Monitors were reused, suitable partitions retained and durable finishes chosen to help the space keep performing.
"Each office has built another level of trust. Blueprint understand our requirements and often suggest things we hadn’t thought of, always tailored to what our teams actually need."
