Worldline Beeston needed a space that could bring their global payment solutions to life, give clients an experience worth remembering, and help their own people reconnect with the office after a huge shift in working culture.

Where we started

Worldline needed a customer experience worthy of a global leader.

The original brief focused on a presentation suite where clients could explore Worldline’s solutions across transport, hospitality, retail and fuel. It had to feel immersive, impressive and useful. Not just a room with screens, but a space that could bring complex technology to life.

Through our discovery process, another need became clear. The wider office had to work harder in a post-pandemic world. Working habits and expectations had shifted, and Worldline wanted a workplace that could help attract, retain and inspire talented people.

Where we focused

We focused on creating a workplace with real pull. For clients, that meant turning presentations into experiences. Spaces needed to support storytelling, product exploration and deeper conversations about what Worldline can do. It also meant more choice. Somewhere to collaborate, concentrate, connect or step away. The office had to support different tasks, teams and working styles without losing its energy. Technology sat right at the centre. The new space had to help people work together whether they were in the room or joining from somewhere else. We also kept sustainability firmly in view, making sure furniture and materials were reused, donated or diverted from landfill wherever possible.

What changed

Worldline’s Beeston office is now a workplace that looks, feels and behaves like a global innovation hub.

The new Learning and Invention Suite gives visitors a fully immersive experience, with full-height interactive screens across each wall. Clients can explore Worldline’s values, products and sector expertise in a way that feels active, engaging and memorable.

For employees, the office now offers a much better mix of work settings. Nottingham Square, inspired by the local area, creates a flexible central space for drop-in work, project takeovers and team activity. Around it, focus pods, collaboration areas and flexible furniture give people more control over how they spend their day.

The café brings a diner-style energy to the office, with an R&R hub, mini market, games and social space. It is a proper place to pause, not just somewhere to grab a coffee between meetings.

The impact went beyond the workplace too. The project led to £137,584 worth of office furniture being donated to the community. In total, 816 items and 35,044kg were diverted from landfill, avoiding 68,291kg of CO2e.
"The new space is better than I could have ever imagined. For me, this project wasn’t just about changing the way the Worldline office looked, our people are the most important part of our business, and it is fundamental for us that we provide them with the best possible environment to work in"

- James Bain, Worldline UK&I
