Where we started

Inizio is a market-leading healthcare commercialisation partner, helping healthcare brands connect with the people who matter. Its new 18,000 sq ft space at Excelsior House in Ashby-de-la-Zouch is home to Inizio Engage, a global strategic engagement partner.

The Ashby team needed a new base that reflected how work had changed.

People weren’t using the office in one fixed way. The space had to support different workstyles, make team time feel worthwhile and create a better experience for clients visiting the building.

There was also a bigger story behind the office. Through their previous company, Ashfield, Inizio has had a connection with Ashby since the early 2000s. This move was a fresh chapter, but it still needed to feel rooted in the town.

Through workshops with the team, we explored how people wanted to use the space, what the culture needed and where the office could make the biggest difference.

Where we focused

Hybrid working shaped the big decisions. The space needed to give people choice: places to collaborate, quieter areas for focused work and dedicated rooms for confidential conversations. Sustainability guided the process too. Excelsior House needed to maintain its EPC A rating, so reusing existing furniture and choosing recycled products wherever possible was part of the design thinking from the start. We also wanted the space to feel rooted in Ashby. Meeting room names such as the Smithy, Forge and Cooper nod to the town’s traditional trades, while the reception and workplace café became the Market Square.

What changed

Excelsior House now gives Inizio a flexible, future-ready UK workplace across two floors.

Hot-desking areas encourage movement between teams. Private spaces support focus and sensitive conversations. A state-of-the-art control room gives Inizio the tools to host hybrid and virtual events with confidence.

The sustainability choices are built into the fabric of the space. Existing furniture has been reused, meeting booths and pods selected for their recycled or sustainable materials, and fixed work settings placed near windows to reduce reliance on artificial light.

The result is a workplace that feels purposeful, welcoming and unmistakably Inizio.

The new office has truly transformed how we work. An engaging, sustainable space bringing our team together and adapts perfectly to our needs. Every detail reflects our unique culture and values, creating an environment where our people want to spend time.
