Where we started

The building was still under construction, which gave us the chance to shape the space before everything was fixed.

Argon came to us with a clear brief for a new UK office and warehouse facility. But as we explored how the team would use the building day to day, we could see the original office footprint was holding the space back.

So we pushed the brief further.

The team needed a workplace with room to think, meet, focus and grow. They also needed a proper setting for product demonstrations. Previously, Argon had relied on whatever rooms customers had available, which limited the experience and undersold the value of their products.

Where we focused

Every square metre had to earn its place.

The office needed to feel purposeful from day one. Flexible enough for a growing team, practical enough for daily work and polished enough to reflect the quality of Argon’s medical products.

We focused on creating a workplace with choice built in. Quiet rooms for confidential conversations. Meeting space for structured collaboration. Desk areas that could adapt as the team changed.

The customer experience was just as important. Argon’s products needed a setting that gave them proper context, helping customers, partners and healthcare professionals understand how they work in real clinical environments.

What changed

By reclaiming a 6x12m slice of the original warehouse footprint, we created a stronger office layout without compromising operations.

That extra space gave Argon an open, activity-based workplace with private rooms, a six-person meeting room, versatile desks and casual breakout areas that double as informal work zones.

On the upper floor, a state-of-the-art clinical and education suite recreates a typical hospital operating room, allowing customers to experience Argon’s products in the right context.

Argon’s Derby facility now does justice to the work happening inside it.
