Blueprint Sail Away With Prizes at Charity Event

Posted in:

We are massively proud to have won a prize for raising the most money for Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People at this year’s Dragon Boat Challenge after raising over £1,600.

The prized dragon trophy is now on display at our Head Office at Ivanhoe Business Park in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, WorkLife Central. The trophy is given to the team which raises the most money for Rainbows at the event, held each August in Nottingham as part of the Riverside Festival.

Not only did we win the trophy for the most raised for Rainbows, but we also picked up the prize for the best fancy dress on the day – having competed in every race dressed as pirates.

Tom Stanyard, Corporate Partnership Fundraiser at Rainbows said: “We’re delighted that the team at Blueprint Interiors have won the charity prize this year. It’s a fitting reward not just for their efforts at the Dragon Boat but for all the support they’ve been giving to Rainbows over the years – including ongoing support with the interior design of the hospice.

“With little guaranteed funding each year, it’s the generosity of individuals and companies like Blueprint that mean we’re able to continue providing vital care to the region’s most seriously ill children, young people and their families.”

Speaking to the East Midlands Business News our Operations Director, Rachel Biddles, said: “The Dragon Boat was a great way to get the team involved in an event to both enhance their team spirit and continue our association with Rainbows. We’re so pleased that we’ve raised such an incredible amount– and to pick up a trophy for best fancy dress as well was an added bonus!”

The Dragon Boat Challenge has been supporting Rainbows for the last ten years. This year’s event saw 28 teams, including two teams from the charity itself, raise over £12,000 for the Loughborough based charity who care for some of the region’s seriously ill children and young people, as well as their families.

We can’t wait to compete again next year!
