We’re Hiring a Pre-Construction Assistant

We have an opportunity for a Pre-Construction Assistant to join our growing team at a hugely exciting time for Blueprint Interiors.

Blueprint is a young, dynamic company specialising in Commercial Interior Design & Refurbishment, our success is built around our design led approach and our determination to deliver projects of the highest quality.

We are now looking to recruit a pre-construction assistant to join our busy, friendly team. The person should be lively, energetic, enthusiastic & intelligent who wants to work as hard as we do and to enjoy the rewards that come with it. This position will be based out of our working showroom in Ashby-de-la-Zouch so within easy access to Leicester, Nottingham & Derby.

Key duties involve:

• Quantity take offs
• Preparation of quotations
• Maintain & update live project financial documentation
• Maintain subcontractor and supplier relationships
• Prepare purchase orders and monitor deliveries onto site
• Site surveys, organising, attending and providing reports
• Preparation of technical information
• Health & Safety documentation
• Programme scheduling
• Ad hoc administrative and project finances as needed

Essential Skills required:

• Estimating
• Quantity Surveying
• Understanding of different elements of commercial fit out
• Construction/Project Management – Being a good, creative problem solver
• Good literacy and numerical skills
• Driving license and own vehicle due to office location
• Identify and make improvements to best working practices
• Work under pressure and meet required deadlines
• Strong team player – Excellent IT skills (Excel, MS word, Outlook)

Desirable Skills required:

• 2 years + Experience of working in a similar role
• Commercial interior fit out experience
• Experience with Mac operating systems beneficial but not essential

• Be willing and eager to learn about our industry in general
